Vistek provided Value Engineering services and 3rd Party Certification for Development Victoria’s Ballarat GovHub. Designed by John Wardle Architects, the GovHub includes offices for 1000 public servants, as well as civic buildings and valuable community spaces. The $100 million multi-use development will soon become an iconic part of the city’s CBD. Kane and Nicholson Construction partnership are the project builders, with AECOM as engineering consultants. The GovHub has a Mass Timber super-structure at its core. The brick and metal facade ties in with surrounding heritage buildings. Meanwhile, the extensive use of glass and open areas invites the public into traditionally closed civic spaces.
